Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Merlin Mines ("Merlin Mines," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website at https://merlinmines.com and our related infrastructure, DevOps, and repository security services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — such as your name and email address — to identify you, manage your account, and communicate with you about the Service.

Usage and technical information — such as IP address, browser and device type, and usage patterns — to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Payment information, where applicable, is processed securely by third-party payment processors. We do not directly store full payment card details on our servers.

2. Google and GitHub Authorization Data

When you connect your Google and/or GitHub account, you authorize us to access specific data through those providers' APIs solely to provide the Service — including authenticating you and performing automated security maintenance and configuration on the repositories you explicitly connect.

Depending on the scopes you grant, this may include your basic profile and email address, and read/write access to the code, configuration, and metadata of the repositories you connect. We access this data only to deliver the features you request, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Limited Use: Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve the Service, do not transfer it except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law, and do not use it for serving advertisements.

You can revoke our access at any time through your Google account permissions or your GitHub application settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to set up and manage your account, provide and secure the Service, process payments where applicable, provide support, and communicate important updates. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and payment processors) under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and as required by applicable law. When you disconnect a provider or delete your account, we delete or de-identify the associated authorization data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
